Michigan vs. Michigan State 2002

Here are some movies that I took of the U-M and MSU drumlines. In chronological order:

Stepshow

Postgame

Drumoff

A Little Adventure

I stepped outside my room late last night, and this (movie 3.7MB) is what I saw. I recorded this from just inside my room. I was pretty surprised, so I didn't get a good look at first. In hindsight, it's pretty obvious what it was, but at first, I couldn't tell. So when it got closer, I took another look (96kB). Then, just to be sure, I got a little closer myself and checked it out some more (116kB). Now, I knew for sure what it was, but it was really late (around 3:30am) and it was too active, so I decided that I would deal with it in the morning. Then I thought of my sleeping roommate Alicia. I decided I would have to make sure she knew about it before she left her room in the morning. So, being careful not to disturb it, I went a slipped a note under her door apprising her of the situation. Then I went to bed.

The next morning, it was still there (96kB), so I tried to contact the appropriate people, but I was told that that there is no longer a public service to deal with this sort of thing. I ended up calling a pay service, and the guy was nice enough to give me some advice about how to deal with it myself. Then I gathered the appropriate materials from my car and around the apartment and set to work. I was fortunate to have the right materials on hand: thick leather gloves, a tupperware container, and a piece of cardboard. Now that it was daytime, it was asleep, and I was able to catch it (120kB) without problem. Then, I took it outside and found someplace shady and let it go. Looking at it in the tupperware container, it seemed angry, but upon examining the container afterward, I determined that he was more scared than I was (160kB).

I took a lot more pictures, but they need major retouching before I post them.

None of the monument pictures turned out very well, but these animals were pretty photogenic.
